FIELD USE & PERMITS
Groups interested in using the playing fields in South Burlington Parks are reminded that a permit is required for this purpose. This applies to all baseball, soccer, lacrosse, and softball fields, as well as reserving the open spaces at any of the parks. The permit system insures appropriate use in accordance with the facility use & fee policy, provides for scheduled maintenance, as well as avoiding conflicts with scheduling with other groups. Fields are automatically closed for use when there is any standing water on the field. Permit applications are available at the Recreation Office and must be completed a minimum of one week in advance of the request.
A separate permit is required for the use of the O’Brien Civic Center located at Jaycee Park on Patchen Road. All reservation requests must be made by residents of South Burlington.
The Parks are maintained by the Parks Division through the Public Works Dept., but all scheduling of facilities is done through the Recreation Department Office. Contact numbers for both departments are listed below:
