Attention SoBu Seniors!!!! Thanks to public input, SoBu Spaces in City Center will now include a Senior Center! We are designing the space to be flexible to accommodate both drop in social opportunities and scheduled programs. The plan calls for a comfortable living room space where folks can gather for a cup of coffee and connect with friends and neighbors as well as open program space which will accommodate a full range of activities. Our menu of program offerings will include health and wellness initiatives such as tai-chi and living strong strength training as well as arts and leisure classes such as water colors, acrylics and writers workshops. In addition, the space will be equipped with modest staging and state of the art projection and sound systems that will support a variety lectures, performances and special events. An attached caterers kitchen with a pass through to the program space will allow us to offer daily meals on site Monday- Friday, for up to 80 people. Open hours for the Senior Center are suggested for Monday-Friday 8:30-4:00 with some additional scheduled evening and weekend programs. We welcome the opportunity to share our vision with you and have dialogue of what we might be missing in this Senior Center space. Join us April 18 1:00-2:00 ( light refreshments at 12:45) at City Hall to share your thoughts with our designers. Time to Make Some Noise for the Senior Center!
