Warning – Public Hearing
August 9, 2019

PLEASE take notice that the South Burlington City Council will hold a public hearing on Friday, August 9, 2019, at 4:00 PM in the City Hall Conference Room, 575 Dorset Street, South Burlington, Vermont to consider extending the Interim Bylaws for a three (3)-month period. The purpose of the Interim Bylaws would continue to be to prohibit certain development including new principal buildings or planned unit developments while the City undertakes and completes certain analyses and studies, reviews the results of those studies and determines if any amendments to the Land Development Regulations are appropriate to implement the City’s goals and objectives and to regulate land development in conformance with the Comprehensive Plan.

If extended, the Interim Bylaws will continue to affect all lands in the Districts and/or Sub-Districts established and listed in Article 3.01(A)(1)-(4) of the South Burlington Land Development Regulations except:

A. To the extent those Districts underly the Transit Overlay District, as depicted on the Official Zoning Map and the Overlay Districts maps, and including those lands not underlying the Transit Overlay District which are located immediately northerly of Interstate 89 in the Residential 1, Residential 7 and Residential 12 Districts,
B. The Airport and Airport Industrial Districts,
C. The lands in the Mixed Industrial & Commercial District that are located generally northerly of the Airport District and accessed by Berard Drive, Airport Parkway and Lime Kiln Road,
D. The lands in the Mixed Industrial & Commercial District that are within the Ethan Allen Farms Industrial Park, which for the purposes of the Interim Bylaws includes the lands accessed by Shamrock Road, Lime Rock Road, Ethan Allen Drive, and Commerce Avenue and which are westerly of the easterly leg of Commerce Avenue,
E. The lands in the Residential 4 District that are accessed by Lime Kiln Road,
F. The lands in the Industrial & Open Space District that are within the Meadowland Business Park located on the easterly side of Hinesburg Road and immediately southerly of Interstate 89,
G. Lands in the Southeast Quadrant-Natural Resource Protection Sub-District comprised of approximately 67 acres located on the southerly side of Cheesefactory Road and on the westerly side of Vermont Route 116, and comprised of approximately 194 acres located southerly of Van Sicklen Road on the easterly side of Vermont Route 116, and
H. Lands comprised of approximately 132 acres, portions of which are in the Southeast Quadrant-Natural Resource Protection Sub-District, and portions of which are in the Southeast Quadrant-Neighborhood Residential Sub-District, located on the westerly side of Vermont Route 116 and on the northerly side of Cheesefactory Road.

WARNING: Public Hearing
PROPOSED AMENDMENTS to the SOUTH BURLINGTON  LAND DEVELOPMENT REGULATIONS
Tuesday August 13, 2019  7:00PM

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the South Burlington Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 13 at 7:00 PM in the City Hall Conference Room, 575 Dorset Street, South Burlington, Vermont to consider amendments to the South Burlington Land Development Regulations. The amendments affect all parts of the City unless otherwise specified below.


The purpose of the hearing is to consider the following:
A. LDR-19-01: Eliminate minimum parking requirements for all uses citywide except multi-family housing and accessory dwelling units, for which parking requirements are to be reduced
B. LDR-19-02: Amend transfer of development rights requirements to be consistent with enabling statutes
C. LDR-19-03: Establish Citywide River Corridor Overlay District and make minor modifications to the Flood Plain Overlay District
D. LDR-19-04: Eliminate duplicative surface water protection standards for land within 150’ of Lake Champlain and allowances for expansion of pre-existing structures within 100’ of Potash Brook within Queen City Park Zoning District
E. LDR-19-05: Administrative Amendments: Authorize Administrative Officer to approve minor field changes to site plans & allow for a joint administrative approval & zoning permit; minor technical corrections
F. LDR-19-06: Modify table of open space types (Appendix F) and applicability in the City Center Form Based Code District
